FIRST LISTEN: HEYERDAHL - EMERALD THE KILLER

Lupi

Some deep sounds coming out of Norway today. The band Heyerdahl, named for the Norwegian explorer, Thor Heyerdahl (A really interesting man, really...check him out) has us really excited about their newest album Øen. Apparently they recorded the entire album in a lighthouse in extreme weather. Gale force winds, crashing waves, all the elements they had to endure while recording really come through on this track, and hopefully, the rest of the album. Their track, 'Emerald the Killer' is like a journey through a storm; plucky guitars, tribal sounding drums and echoey vocals make the track feel like you're in an epic tale.

Their album Øen is set to drop on January 28 via Red Eye Transit
