WATCH: LIPHEMRA 'YOUNG'

'Come on, alright let's go, gotta work a little harder.' These are probably the last words you want to hear on a Monday morning. Well too bad, cause it's my goal to have them be the first you hear today. And you should be thankful, because LA's Liv Marsico, aka Liphemra (Facebook // Twitter), sings them in a beautiful drone as she whirls through her dark masterpiece of a single called 'Young.' The lyrics seem to stem from a childhood cliche which I'm sure she's set to disprove. The music is a genre-bending atmosphere filled with hollow guitar riffs, 007 string sections and heavy synth layers. She's claimed the music originates from her subconscious, and I have no doubt with the validity of this statement.

Even more impressive, Marsico has worked on various projects with other musicians including Gothic Tropic and directing several music videos, including the above cut. It's clear that she's shaping up to be an artist with very few boundaries.
