SPOTLIGHT - COAST JUMPER

In the digital age, there are few bands that still write entire albums, as opposed to a collection of singles. Coast Jumper has written a fantastic debut. The record, Grand Opening, is full of twists and turns that will keep you hooked over the course of the 10-track LP. We've discovered the band after our interview with Brooklyn's Conveyor who told us how great this band was live. Despite being originally from Upstate-NY, Coast Jumper has traveled out West to develop their sound. It would seem like they've definitely picked up the nuances of the West Coast indie sound. The echoing guitars, the vocal harmonies, and the overall ambiance of the album would have you liken them to a band like Local Natives or The Morning Benders. Although similar, this band flows almost seemlessly between a soft, tender sound to almost ripping you out of your seat.

Coast Jumper is currently touring the West Coast, and is playing The Stork Club in Oakland, CA tonight. You can grab their album for whatever price you feel is fair on their Bandcamp page. You can stream the album below, so feel free to show them some love if you like it. We think you will.
