SPOTLIGHT - FIELD MOUSE

I've been keeping this band in my back pocket for a while. I'm sorry I've been holding out on you for so long. I've been enjoying the sweet, shoegazing-dreampop sounds of Field Mouse for a few months now. While the real world has been beating you up, I've been escaping to my own personal Shangri-La. We had the pleasure of seeing them open from one of our Spotlight artists, Conveyor, last week and they happened to blow us away with their live act.

"You Guys Are Gonna Wake Up My Mom" is their standout track. With only a few tracks available online, Field Mouse have managed to craft a unique sound for themselves, defiantly standing out from other synthy, dream-pop acts such as School of Seven Bells or The Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Their live show, however is what really stands out. From start to finish they command the stage. They hit you with a wall of sound and engulf you in fantastic textures that challenge your mind to wander anywhere else but inside their music.

You can check them out live at the Showroom at Pianos on September 14, or at The Rock Shop in Brooklyn on September 19. You can grab their single in vinyl, they're out now via Small Plates Records.
