SPOTLIGHT - TWIN CABINS

Comforting is the word that comes to mind when you listen to, I'm Sure. It's the debut album by Nacho Cano who goes by the stage name Twin Cabins. Born in Mexico and raised in California, his sound is most definitely from the West Coast. Airy guitars and dream-like melodies sweep through the album like a fresh ocean breeze. The sound is comparable to a mix of Belle and Sebastian and Yo La Tengo, mixed in with a little Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah. The sounds is new, but in a way it evokes the indie scene from back in the 80s and early 90s; the lo-fi sound really makes the record feel warm and familiar. Perhaps no track on the record best represents this than the track "Cool Kids".
Twin Cabins has recently released the video for a new track called "Lakelove". The track really sums up what Nacho's music is all about. Loves from the past, present and the hope of love in the future. It's pretty heartwarming.
The album I'm Sure debuted on August 14 and has been slowly garnering acclaim from various publications. It's available now via Bandcamp for a pick-your-own price. You can stream the album in full below, if you like it, throw some bones his way.
